The Reefer Requirements form enables you to set the reefer requirements and monitoring time(s) for the selected unit(s). N4 allows you to configure four or more reefer monitor times per day. You can configure the reefer monitor times either at the unit level or at the line operator level. You can use the Reefer Requirements form to set the reefer requirements at the unit level and the Line Operator form Reefer Monitor Defaults tab (on page 1) to set the reefer requirements at the line operator level.

The Unit Inspector (on page 1) Reefer tab (on page 1) displays the reefer requirements for a unit. Any reefer reading recorded for the unit are displayed in the Recording History area on the Reefer tab.

When you update the reefer requirements for a unit, N4 records the REEFER_SETTINGS_RECORDED event for the unit. You can view the event details on the Unit Inspector Event History tab (on page 1). Similarly, when you update the temperature in XPS, the details are sent to N4. N4 updates and saves the details in the Temp. Required field in the Unit Inspector (on page 1). In this case, N4 records the UNIT_PROPERTY_UPDATE event for this change in the the Unit Inspector Event History tab (on page 1).

You can use the Reefer Requirements form to set the following fields for a reefer:

If you select the Display Temperatures in Fahrenheit check box, N4 displays all the temperature values in the Unit Inspector for the selected unit in degrees Fahrenheit (F). However, if you always want to display the temperature values in degrees Fahrenheit (F), you must change the Display Unit for the appropriate fields using the Fields view.

You can use the Reefer Requirements form to update reefer requirements and monitoring time for one unit or multiple units. If you do not select a unit in the list view, the Update Reefer Requirements option is disabled.
